Believe it or not, it really does bring more joy to give then to receive. You can find some of the joy of giving this holiday season by becoming a part of the Truckee Community Christmas effort to help Truckee families and seniors in need. TCC works with a variety of local agencies to identify needy families and then provides them with much needed food, grocery gift cards, toys and clothing. Last year 215 families, 25 teenage mothers and children, and 120 low income and housebound seniors were helped by the Truckee Community Christmas program.
Want to become a part of it?
You can easily drop off food, coats and toys at the various drives that are being held throughout the area over the next few weeks. You can volunteer, or you can provide a financial contribution that will be used to purchase needed items. Whatever you can do, it will be appreciated.
