Welcome to Your Friend in High Places, Lynn Richardson’s Tahoe and Truckee Sierra Blog. My goal is simple: To provide you with interesting and timely information that you can use to enhance your Tahoe lifestyle. I hope you enjoy it.
Some personal info first:
Originally from Sonoma County, my family moved here to the Tahoe basin in the 1970’s. I have wonderful memories of growing up here, with a tennis racket in one hand and a pair of snow skis in the other. I left for other parts of the country for college and moved to Hawaii to work in the resort management business. While it was an enriching experience, I missed the wonderful mountain environment and the Sierra seasons, so I returned to the Tahoe area.
Because the Tahoe Basin holds such a special part of my heart, sharing the quality of life here is one of the things I love best about my job. I truly enjoy finding out what it will take to fulfill your real estate needs. It’s exciting to help clients discover the properties, lifestyles and wealth of the activities that await them here as homeowners. Whether you are looking for a fun trail to hike, a secluded cross country ski trail, an exciting mountain bike ride or just a peaceful walk in the woods with spectacular mountain views, I know where the great places to go are, what there is to see, and fun things to do.
Towards that end, I’ve started this blog so that I can share with you this beautiful and wonderful area.
In 2007, 2010 and 2012 I was very honored to be voted Realtor of the Year by my peers at Coldwell Banker. This award is given to an agent who has made significant contributions to the community and real estate. Some of my professional qualifications are as follows:
Reputation for ethical conduct with the public and fellow realtors
Respect from peers

Going above and beyond the call of duty to fellow agents and staff.

I am a Residential Interior Architect/Designer specializing in kitchen and bath design in the Tahoe and Truckee area. I do everything from Design on a Dime budget projects to whole house, high end, remodels in addition to C.A.D. and real estate staging. My design work has been featured in Women’s Day Magazine and the Tahoe Quarterly on a whole house remodel for author Amy Tan.
I met Lynn through our A.A.U.W. (American Association of University Women) gourmet group, where we gather monthly to create fantastic meals, eat, drink and be merry. Our A.A.U.W. group raises money to send girls to tech trek science camps, while we explore the various and wonderful cuisines from around the world.
I serendipitously fell into writing, and in addition to Lynn’s blog, I’ve also written for the Examiner Reno and for my own blogs focusing on kitchens, baths and interior design. Follow me at Lifestyles of the Kitchen Famous and Much Ado with Nothing
